It provides excellent resistance to water absorption, ozone, sunlight aging, low temperature, and compression set so you can confidently install precisely where needed. Whether you are looking for a way to seal doors or windows, you can find weatherproof and reliable solutions for cars, trucks, RVs, trailers, boats, and more with Trim-Lok. To prepare your black foam seals for application, cut to length with scissors or knife. Prior to installation, ensure bonding surface is properly cleaned with a 50/50 mix of denatured alcohol and water solution. Optimum performance is between 25% to 45% compression, with 25% being ideal – less than 25% compression makes the seal less effective, and over 40% places the seal at risk for compression set and failure. From garage doors and car sunroofs to window panes and windshields, our foam seals come in a variety of specially designed shapes.
